a worship and prayer movement…

Looking for current events, The Boiler Room, The Burn, etc? Follow the current movement at prayforgreenville.org.

Since 2002 6:22 Ministries has seen a movement of worship and prayer among young people across eastern North Carolina and beyond. What began as a Friday night “undignified worship” gathering, grew into a movement that has included eight Worshipfest conferences, three Day Seven city-wide solemn assemblies, four 6:22 worship albums, the [re]discovery tour, The New Beginnings Tour and countless worship and prayer gatherings. In 2009, 6:22 Ministries launched the Boiler Room, a prayer and worship space in Uptown Greenville, which has hosted the Burn Greenville, Secret Place Internships and thousands of hours of intercession and worship.

Over the years, couples have met through 6:22 events, gotten married and had children. God has called young people into ministry, and they are now serving as full-time missionaries. Young musicians were inspired by 6:22 to forms bands and spread the Gospel through their music, reaching hundreds of youth. Souls have been saved. Lukewarm hearts have been revived. Bodies and souls have been healed. Dreams and destinies have been awakened. Creativity has been inspired for the glory of God. Lives have been changed by His grace.

Over the last decade of 6:22′s existence, we have had the honor to witness and participate in the shift of a spiritual climate in Greenville, NC and the surrounding areas. Many churches host “worship nights” dedicated strictly to worship and prayer (when 6:22 launched this was considered “extreme” and “undignified”, but it is now becoming normal). Churches are hosting all-night prayer sessions, seasons of 24-7 prayer and extended times of fasting. God has sent new church planters to the Greenville who are more willing to unite and work together. Crime rates in Greenville are dropping. Greenville’s East Carolina University is poised as the fasting growing college in North Carolina. God is changing lives, changing a city and changing the world!
